This piece was created as part of a "Listen and Respond" project, in which we were asked to have a conversation with a family member about a problem they were facing and create a piece in response. I talked with my mom about how many people she works with can be slimy and duplicitous in an effort to climb the corporate ladder. She described a total lack of morals in these people, who instead choose to pursue success and ambition at the cost of empathy, which she called "drinking the corporate koolaid."
